Than GOD and Thank Mom!!

I wrote this post yesterday, the long version, I lost it, so now you get the short version. I went to church yesterday at fellowship - awesome service! Amazin gmusic, it was the group called the Newsboys - they totally rock! Anyway left that church to go the boys home, and my mom was riding with me. We get about half way there and I get pulled over by a friendly neighborhood police officer, um....well see, I was going 73 in a 55, I had no seatbelt on, no drivers licens on me, and my inspection sticker was out. Mom and I prayed, and I'm told Dad and Joseph prayed as they passed by us. The officer was very nice. He took my date of birth and my name. My mom told him "I'm her mother and I work for the Denton PD, if I'd have known she was speeding I would have told her stop" then in her sweet innocent voice she adds "she didn't mean to do it..." The officer starts talking to her at this point, I think he must have thought I still had my learners permit and that he needed to deal with my mommy, just kidding, it wasn't like that. He just asked her what she did for the Denton PD, they chit chatted. He went back to his car, came back to mine and asked for mom's police ID. She did not have it with her, but showed her pay stub. The officer looked at me and said "young lady, I'm gonna let you go with a waring, you have several serious violations here...consider this your lucky day, I'm gonna let you go thanks to her" and he points at my mom. He then said "and when you get where your going you give her a big hug and a big thank you" I said, "yes sir" and hugged my momma right then and there.

So - Thank God for the favor, and thank you mom for being mom!!
